Children's House
Baghere, Sinegal / 2022

Observing the contextuality of the village beginning with local architecture until what activities that people doing in the area, especially children, become a basis of design on this project. The form of local houses in the area is unique by having an additional layer in the front of the home such as fences made of bamboo to protect them from dust on the road or just as a gate while, behind, there is a vertical rooftop of the building which has a cylinder shape on it. This kind of gesture is like a curved shape on the building that we took to make the children’s house look fun and interesting. Moreover, curving the edge of the space makes it safer and more comfortable for children and mothers to live in.
